TSAMTO, February 4. In accordance with the plan for re-equipping the troops of the Southern Military District (SE), the Ka-27PS search and rescue helicopter was delivered to the aviation regiment of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense, based in the Krasnodar Territory.
The helicopter was transported to the Kuban in disassembled form by a military transport aircraft. At the military airfield, its final assembly is currently being carried out.
The rescue helicopter has additional means of lifting, rescuing and lighting. On the left side, outside the cargo door, there is a lifting device – an electric trolley LPG-300, a turning mechanism, a boom and a hydraulic cylinder for lifting and lowering the boom (load capacity – up to 300 kg). To the lifting device, you can attach a universal or strap seat, a belt for lifting astronauts in the cradle. The rescue equipment being dropped includes the NP-2A inflatable belt, two LAS-5M-3 air rescue boats, 12 PSN-6AM rafts, and two Vozvoz-M marker buoys, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
