More than 20 units of modern weapons and special military equipment will be received in 2021 by the units of the Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District, stationed in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions.
According to the press service of the Central Military District, deliveries will be completed by the end of the year.
In 2021, a batch of 10 upgraded BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles will be delivered to the motorized rifle units of the largest tank formation of the Central Military District. Unlike the models of earlier modifications, the BMP-2M has an automatic fire control system that allows the commander and gunner to act as a single unit during the day and at night.
Anti-tank units of the division will receive more than 10 self-propelled combat vehicles "Shturm-S", capable of destroying armored vehicles, including those equipped with dynamic protection, as well as air targets and structures in all weather conditions.
This year, the armament park of the military intelligence units of the tank division will be replenished with the Sobolyatnik-O detection systems, designed to monitor the situation at a range of up to 30 kilometers, which allows analyzing the parameters of targets with an accuracy of up to 10 meters and classifying them, dividing them into people and equipment.
