The crew of the Baltic Fleet corvette "Stoyky", which went on a long voyage, conducted an exercise in the Mediterranean Sea to counter air strikes.
As reported in the information support department of the press service of the Baltic Fleet, conditional artillery and rocket firing was conducted on simulated air and sea targets, which were set using on-board target designation systems.
The firing was carried out by combat crews of batteries of artillery installations A-190, AK-630 and anti-aircraft missile system "Redut". The crew also worked out actions on a training alert, on the option of defending the ship from unmanned aerial vehicles of a conditional enemy.
The Marines of the anti-terror units, which are part of the crew, practiced in organizing the protection and defense of the corvette when parked on an unprotected roadstead and stopping the attack of a high-speed small-sized target.
The detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, which left for a long voyage from Baltiysk in December 2020, in addition to the "Stoyky", includes the medium sea tanker "Kola" and the sea tug "Yakov Grebelsky".
The task of the detachment is to ensure the naval presence and display the St. Andrew's flag in various areas of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean. The campaign, according to the plan, will last about six months.

The 2nd rank combat surface ship of the near sea zone (corvette) "Stoyky" of project 22380 became a part of the Baltic Fleet in 2014. The ships of this project are called "invisible" for their low visibility for radar means, which is achieved through the use of Stealth technologies.
