TSAMTO, January 22. Five high-altitude supersonic fighter-interceptor MiG-31BM, after the repair and modernization will be available until the end of 2021 on the arms of the fighter wing Association air force and air defense CVO stationed in the Krasnoyarsk region.
During the modernization, the avionics and radio-electronic systems of the aircraft will be updated, the interceptor TTH will be improved, which will increase their combat capabilities. Upon arrival at the military airfield, the aircraft will take up combat duty to protect the air borders of the Russian Federation.
The supersonic MiG-31 is designed to intercept and destroy targets, including cruise and ballistic missiles, at extremely low, medium and high altitudes in simple and difficult weather conditions.
