Russian-made military equipment demonstrated its power at the exercises of the Algerian army.
During the training operations, both the latest models and those that have been used for a long time in the land forces of this state were used. For example, the BTR-60 PB armored personnel carriers developed in the 60s, which confidently hit targets with their 14.5-mm KPVT machine guns.
Also, ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" self-propelled anti-aircraft guns successfully worked on targets depicting enemy helicopters.
The positions of the simulated enemy were subjected to intense fire from 122-mm self-propelled howitzers 2S1 "Carnation" and multiple rocket launchers BM-21 "Grad".
Cover from air attacks was provided by anti-aircraft gunners with portable Igla missile systems. In turn, the bombing attacks were carried out by Su-30MKA and MiG-29 aircraft.
The main guided missile weapons were the "Kornet-E" complexes installed on Land Rover Defender vehicles.
The most spectacular episodes were those involving the BMP-2M with the Berezhok and T-90S combat squads.
The modernized infantry fighting vehicles moved to the front edge in the shortest possible time and smashed all the exposed objects with a dense fire of 30-mm 2A42 automatic guns.
The main battle tanks attacked the enemy at maximum speed, firing continuously from 125-mm guns. The "Nineties" once again demonstrated their high reliability, as they had to operate in conditions of heavy dust. Azhir cars are equipped with air conditioning, providing comfortable conditions for the crews. Air cover was provided by the Mi-28NE attack helicopter.
At the end of the report, the refueling in the air from the Il-78 flying tank of the Su-30MKA multi-purpose fighters was shown.
