TSAMTO, January 19. The crew of the corvette "Agile", which is being built at the Severnaya Verf enterprise in St. Petersburg, has been formed in the connection of ships protecting the water area of the Troops and forces in the north-east of Russia.
The sailors will be trained at the Joint Center of the Navy, where they will learn the principles of building a new project ship and the basics of operation in basic specialties. After completing the course of theoretical training, the crew will undergo an internship on a similar ship of the project 20385. At the end of the training, the crew will pass the final exams for admission to the management of the ship and accept a new ship from the manufacturer.
Together with representatives of the military industry, a complex of sea trials and pilot tests of the ship, the delivery of course tasks and the subsequent state acceptance of the ship for further operation in the Pacific Fleet will be carried out.
The Project 20385 corvette is designed for patrolling the sea zone, fighting surface ships and submarines, providing anti-aircraft defense of ship detachments, home bases, as well as for artillery support for landings and amphibious operations. The ship's displacement is 2,200 tons, length-104 m, width-13 m, speed-up to 27 knots, cruising range-3,500 miles, autonomy-15 days, crew-99 people, according to the Information Support Department of the Primorsky Region (Vladivostok).
