At the last military parade on the occasion of the VIII Congress of the Workers ' Party of North Korea, one after another, ballistic missiles for submarines appeared, which were presented by the country's authorities as "the most powerful weapon in the world."
The parade took place the night before, but the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reported on it today, January 15. The parade was traditionally hosted by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
"The most powerful weapons in the world, ballistic missiles for submarines, appear on the square one after another, demonstrating the power of our revolutionary armed forces," KCNA reported.
According to Reuters, says Eadaily, we can talk about the Pukguksong-5 missiles ("Pukguksong-5"), which are an upgraded version of the Pukguksong-4, also presented at the military parade in October last year.
Recall: North Korea held a parade in the fall of 2020 in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Workers ' Party. It featured a new missile for submarines, the Pukkykson-4A, with a clearly increased size and possibly longer range, as well as a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) without a specific name, which was carried by an 11-axis installation.
