MOSCOW, January 12-RIA Novosti. The Arctic patrol ship of the project 23550 "Ermak", which is being built at the Vyborg Shipyard in the Leningrad region, will be equipped with a control system with the navigation complex" Bering", which will make it partially unmanned, the company"Kronstadt Technologies" reported on Tuesday.
"The advantages of Bering are the continuity of functions of previously delivered software systems.., as well as the possibility of expanding the functions of the system with software modules used for unmanned navigation, designed to solve problems of divergence from goals in automatic mode," the report says.
As explained to RIA Novosti in the press service of the group "Kronstadt", which includes "Kronstadt Technologies", automatic divergence with the goals means that the ship will be able to find obstacles in its path, such as ice floes. The onboard system itself will offer the crew ways to get around them. In addition, in the future, with the help of "Bering", it will be possible to teach the ship to moor in automatic mode.
The report notes that the integrated control system of the surface ship (ISU NK) on the basis of "Bering" is designed specifically for the new watchdog. The equipment on board the ship will connect in a single environment the management of technical means, the systems of the central command post and the command post of border control, as well as the subsystems for processing navigation information. In addition, a single control loop will include a technical diagnostics system, a cabin local area network and a system for collecting information from cameras and sensors on the ship.
The border patrol ship of the first rank "Blizzard" of the ice class of the project 23550 "Ermak" in the interests of the border service of the FSB of Russia was laid down at the Vyborg plant in July 2020. After construction and transfer to the customer, it will serve in the Arctic seas of Russia. Two more similar ships are being built at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg by order of the Russian Defense Ministry.
