The Russian Defense Ministry has published unique footage of the loading of an intercontinental ballistic missile "Yars" into a silo launcher (SHPU) in the Kozelsky missile compound in the Kaluga Region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry on Monday, January 4.
It is noted that the rocket is installed in the silo with the help of a special transport and loading unit. The ministry also added that such complex technological operations last several hours.
The rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces consists not only in equipping the troops with new missile systems, but also in creating a new social infrastructure that provides better conditions for training the forces on duty, carrying out combat duty and rest.
December 21 at the enlarged meeting of the Collegium of the defense Ministry strategic missile forces commander Colonel General Sergei Karakayev said that two regiments of the strategic Missile forces in 2021 will be rearmed with missile systems "YARS" silo-based and mobile.
