TSAMTO, December 29. New collimator sights were adopted by motorized rifle units of the combined arms Army of the Western Military District in the Bryansk region.
Battalion tactical groups will use 1P63 and 1P29 sights for small arms already at the first field exit in the winter training period.
More than 200 sets of attachments were put into service as part of the state defense order. The sights are designed for firing at different times of the day and are used with various modifications of the Kalashnikov assault rifle: AKMN, AK 74N3, AK 74MS, AKS 74N5, AN 94 and light machine guns: RPKN, RPK 74N and RPK 74M.
Unlike laser sights, only the shooter sees the point of sight. The sight has a double illumination, which does not require special settings. It is especially useful when performing operations in tight spaces where it is impossible to capture the target with both eyes.
The 1P63 collimator sight provides convenience and simplicity of aiming, which allows in dynamic combat, as well as in conditions of limited time for firing from unstable positions when firing from automatic weapons, to significantly increase the effectiveness of shooting small arms by reducing the time of aiming and aiming errors.
Aiming is carried out by the sighting sign, the image of which is in infinity. The shape and color of the sighting sign in the daytime is a triangle, two horizontal strokes and one vertical stroke of white color, and at night-two horizontal strokes and one vertical stroke of green color.
At dusk, the triangle and all the strokes of both white and green are visible, the press service of the Western Military District reports.
