TSAMTO, December 29. Scouts infantry units of the CVO, stationed in the Altai region, were armed with new unmanned aerial vehicles "Tachyon".
The devices that have entered service will be used for conducting aerial reconnaissance, issuing ready-made target designations for firepower of motorized rifle and tank units, as well as for adjusting fire during planned combat training activities.
The Tachyon unmanned aerial vehicle is specially designed for use in severe climatic conditions, equipped with a video camera, thermal imager and other equipment. The device is characterized by small weight and size characteristics and can be used in a wide range of temperatures and heights, as well as at high wind speeds.
A special feature of this device is the possibility of its application for the organization of video and telephone communication, acting as signal repeaters.
The use of the Tachyon UAV will increase the combat capabilities of the CVO reconnaissance unit.
41 OA CVO is deployed on the territory of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory and the Republic of Tyva. It consists of motorized rifle, artillery units, air defense forces, RKHBZ and communications, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
