TSAMTO, December 28. A flight of new Su-30SM multi-purpose fighters has arrived at the Karaganda Aviation Base named after Hero of the Soviet Union Nurken Abdirov.
From the Russian Federation, the aircraft were driven by experienced test pilots of the Irkut Aviation Plant.
The Su-30SM is a new generation 4++fighter. It is capable of operating day and night, in all weather conditions, can not only shoot down enemy aircraft and destroy ground targets, but also conduct aerial reconnaissance and give target designation to other aircraft. The Su-30SM has a long flight range and the ability to refuel in the air. At the moment, it is one of the best multifunctional combat fighters in the world.
On December 23, the aircraft were met by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General of Aviation Nurlan Ormanbetov, Akim of the Karaganda region Zhenis Kassymbek.
Defense Minister Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev noted that new aviation equipment is being delivered to the Air Force according to the plan of rearmament of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
He stressed that the super-maneuverable multi-purpose Su-30SM fighters will significantly increase the ability to cover troops and objects from air attack, detect and destroy air and ground targets. Thanks to them, the combat potential of the Armed Forces will increase, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
