Moscow. December 26. INTERFAX-the Russian black sea fleet has held an exercise on the organization of emergency preparation of ships for battle and campaign, the press service of the fleet said on Saturday.
"On the ships of the black sea fleet at the base points of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk, a special ship exercise "Intercession of the ship on combat duty"was held. The exercise was held in all ship formations of the fleet, " the report says.
The military called the purpose of the exercise to work out the actions of the personnel of combat posts and command posts of ships in the implementation of an emergency exit from the base point, conducting combat against enemy air attack means, as well as checking the organization of preparation of ships for combat duty.
The black sea fleet is an operational and strategic Association of the Navy on the Black sea. It consists of diesel submarines, surface ships for operations in the ocean and near sea zones, naval missile-carrying, anti-submarine and fighter aircraft, and parts of coastal troops.
Russia has strengthened its grouping on the Black sea in recent years.
In recent years, the Russian black sea fleet has received new frigates and small missile ships, as well as six diesel-electric submarines. They are equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles (Almaz-Antey Concern JSC).
In the Crimea, an army corps has been created, consisting of coastal defense, intelligence, artillery units, air defense units, engineering and logistics support units, RCB protection, communications and others.
