"The first serial su-57 entered glitz at the end of November. It will be used for testing the latest aviation hypersonic weapons, " the source said.
The development of fundamentally new aircraft weapons is carried out by the Tactical missile weapons Corporation.
To date, only MiG-31K fighters on duty in the southern military district are carriers of hypersonic Dagger missiles.
Earlier, a source told TASS that the first serial multi-purpose fighter of the fifth generation su-57 entered service with one of the air regiments of the southern military district. According to him, in 2021, the Russian aerospace forces will receive four more such aircraft.
Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at the Board of the military Department said that by the end of 2024, the troops will receive 22 su-57. The contract, signed in 2019, provides for the delivery of 76 su-57S until 2028. From 2022, the su-57 will be delivered with a second-stage engine.
