The Turkish project ULAQ, shown in October this year in the form of a "cartoon", is already embodied in metal. Yesterday, December 16, the Anadolu news agency reported that the companies Meteksan Savunma and ARES Tersanesi presented the first prototype of an unmanned reconnaissance and combat boat.
the new development was called sida. this boat will be launched in the coming days, and in march will perform the first rocket firing.

according to the developers, the ulaq project boats are designed for deployment in the aegean and mediterranean seas. sida and its "sisters" will be able to collect data and detect enemy targets offline. at the same time, the decision on the attack will remain with the operator, who will be able to control surface drones from a distance of up to 400 km.
On the 11-meter boat, it is planned to place a communications and surveillance complex, as well as various weapons. In the basic version, we are talking about four unguided 70-mm Cirit missiles, as well as two L-UMTAS homing missiles.
