Moscow. December 16. interfax-the first samples of fully "unmanned" autonomous sea vessels may appear in three years, said the head of the united shipbuilding corporation (usc) alexey rakhmanov.
"In three years we will see the first samples, because Russia was the first country which has provided a corridor for testing of the "bezerianos". And we will see the first samples, but the first samples will definitely be followed by solutions that we will see in iron in 10-15 years, " Rakhmanov said on Wednesday on the OTR TV channel.
According to him, the main factor in the creation of "no-crew" vessels is the reduction in the cost of transportation. "the second is to optimize the design of the ship. in fact, if it becomes completely uneventful, it will look completely different, " rakhmanov said.
As reported, the Russian government in December approved an experiment on the operation of unmanned naval vessels. tests of unmanned vessels are planned to be carried out from december 10, 2020 to the end of 2025 in 11 subjects of the russian federation: st. petersburg, krasnodar, primorsky and khabarovsk territories, astrakhan, kaliningrad, leningrad, magadan, murmansk, rostov and sakhalin regions.
tests in real conditions are already taking place. Participating in these tanker "Mikhail Ulyanov" (JSC "Sovcomflot" (MOEX: FLOT) FLOT, which makes regular flights between Murmansk and offshore ice-resistant fixed platform (oirfp) "Prirazlomnaya", the cargo ship "Sex Anfisa" (OOO "Floor Rise"), which will carry out regular flights in the Black and Caspian seas, as well as barge work in conjunction with the dredger "Redoubt" (FSUE Rosmorport) in the port of Kavkaz.
in november, the head of marinet, alexander pinsky, during the forum of the agency for strategic initiatives, appealed to the president of the russian federation with a request to support the project. vladimir putin called the creation of new unmanned technologies on sea vessels a promising direction, asked the head of veb igor shuvalov to work out the issue of attracting investment in the project and called on the agencies to speed up the preparation of the regulatory framework for autonomous vessels.
the ministry of industry and trade of the russian federation noted that in addition to the resolution approved by the government, the ministry has developed and submitted to the government a federal law on legal relations arising from the use of autonomous vessels, and the russian maritime register of shipping has developed documents on their classification. the aim of the project is to create legal and technical conditions for the mass use of autonomous vessels. the project includes three areas-the development of a legal framework, the creation of a standard set of technical systems for upgrading any existing vessel to an autonomous one, and the development of these technical means on various vessels in the real conditions of their regular commercial operation.
