The project 20385 Gremyashchy Corvette has completed state tests and is scheduled to be delivered to the Navy at the end of December. It will serve in the Pacific ocean.
The Department of information and mass communications of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation officially announced the successful completion of a full cycle of state tests of one of the most promising ships of the Navy.
The ship will be moored at the berth of the Severnaya Verf plant, where it was built. Then the crew and delivery team of the enterprise will start preparing the Corvette for acceptance into the Navy and raising the St. Andrew's flag on it. The reception ceremony is scheduled for December 25.
Gremyashchy is the lead ship of project 20385. This is an improved version of the corvettes of the previous project 20380. Project 20385 corvettes have a displacement of more than 2 thousand tons, a length of 104 meters, a width of 13 meters, and a speed of up to 27 knots. The cruising range is about 4 thousand nautical miles, the crew is 99 people.
Corvettes of projects 20380 and 20385 are designed to fight enemy surface ships and submarines in the near sea zone, as well as for patrolling and artillery support of amphibious landings. Gremyashchy will be the first ship of the Pacific fleet to be armed with Kalibr missiles. In the future, it will be equipped with hypersonic "Zircons".
"The name" Rattling " is given to the Corvette in honor of the legendary destroyer of the Northern fleet during the great Patriotic war, which was awarded the guards rank for successful actions at sea, and its commander-captain of the 1st rank (later rear Admiral) Anton Gurin became a Hero of the Soviet Union, " the Russian defense Ministry explains.
"Rattling" is characterized by low visibility in the optical, radar and acoustic ranges. This was achieved "due to the use of non-flammable fiberglass with radio absorption properties as the superstructure material, as well as due to the architectural layout of the hull and superstructure."
The ka-27PL helicopter, for which a special platform and hangar are provided on the ship, significantly increases the capabilities of the" Rattler " to search for and destroy submarines.
The Corvette is equipped with a universal ship firing system that allows you to launch multi-functional "Calibers", anti-ship" Onyx " and anti-aircraft missiles.
Gremyashchy is protected from air attacks by the Poliment-Redut anti-aircraft missile system, which is capable of hitting enemy aircraft and cruise missiles at a range of up to 150 km. In addition to missile weapons, the Arsenal of "Gremyaschego" includes a 100-mm artillery installation A-190-01, two six-barreled 30-mm anti-aircraft automatic guns AK-630M, as well as a torpedo complex "Package-NK", capable of destroying submarines and intercepting torpedoes launched at the ship.
An important feature of the "Rattling" is the new-generation combat information and control system "Sigma". It combines all onboard weapons, as well as intelligence and surveillance equipment.
