Commanders of naval aviation units of the Baltic fleet demonstrate their skills in the air.
The main task of these flights is to develop a unified methodology for training flight personnel when performing the most complex exercises of the combat training course, Roman Martov, head of the information support Department of the press service of the Western military district for the BF, told the Military-industrial courier.
Within a few days, the commanders of aviation units and their deputies will perform flight training exercises during the day and night on su-27 fighters, su-30SM multi-purpose fighters, su-24M front-line bombers, Ka-27 search and rescue and anti-submarine helicopters, mi-24 and Mi-8 attack and transport helicopters, as well as an-26 military transport aircraft.
Pilots will practice landing at night and at a meteorological minimum, piloting over the water surface at low and ultra-low altitudes, landing on the decks of aircraft carriers both on the move and in drift. In addition, the pilots will make landings with independent selection of the site, perform tasks of group gathering and search and rescue support.
A special feature of the commander's flights will be the performance of paired flights, demonstration interaction of crews with the management group located at the airfield, and with all units that provide flight shifts.
