Serial deliveries of the t-14 Armata tank will begin in 2021. The unmanned version of the car will not go into the series, although the artificial intelligence of the tank is entrusted with important missions - for example, pointing weapons.
- Serial deliveries of the T-14 will begin in 2021. Today it is by far the best tank in the world. In the future, it will become the main tank of the Russian army, "Sergey Chemezov, head of the rostec Corporation, told Interfax.
An unmanned version of the car exists, but it will remain a prototype for testing new technologies. "The Armata platform is mainly used as a crew-controlled vehicle," Chemezov said.
Nevertheless, even with the crew in the T-14, there is work for artificial intelligence. He is assigned, for example, to direct the gun.
- The crew does not need to aim - just indicate the direction to the target, then the automation will do everything itself: determine the exact distance to the target and point the gun at it. To do this, the car uses elements of artificial intelligence, " explained the head of Rostec.
The t-14 Armata tank is the world's first combat vehicle of the third post-war generation. Its main difference from classic tanks is an uninhabited tower and remote-controlled weapons. Now the T-14 is being tested in the army. The first new equipment will be received by the guards tank army in the Moscow region.
