The military-industrial company prematurely fulfilled the contract for the supply of the Russian defense Ministry of Tiger-M armored vehicles, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and command and staff vehicles based on them as part of the state defense order in 2020. This was announced to TASS on Thursday by its General Director Alexander Krasovitsky.
"The other day, we prematurely shipped the next, final batch of Tiger-M armored vehicles to the Ministry of defense under the state defense order of 2020. The customer also received BTR-82A and platforms for command and staff vehicles based on them, " Krasovitsky said.
He did not disclose the number of pieces of equipment delivered, specifying that the entire batch was accepted by military representatives. "Our equipment did not cause any complaints at the military acceptance," the company's CEO stressed.
The Tiger-M armored vehicle is designed for conducting reconnaissance, escorting and protecting columns, patrolling and providing fire support to troops. It has a fifth class of ballistic protection. The car is equipped with bullet-resistant tires with anti-explosion inserts that deflect the blast wave, integrated ceramic armor, mine protection, special glazing and five video cameras for all-round viewing. It provides for the placement of ammunition, communications equipment and a blocker of radio-controlled explosive devices.
