#SubFriday Submarines, as a rule, are cloaked in secrecy. But some more than others. Here are the 4 types of submarine we don’t even know the name of. https://t.co/aC9J6svW6D #Navy #OSINT #China #Pakistan #dprk pic.twitter.com/7OgmuMaMxl

Four top-secret submarines tried to characterize the expert portal Covert Shores . Data on submarines that don't even have public names was obtained by intelligence and by studying satellite images.
First on the list is a Chinese submarine that does not have a deckhouse. Apparently, it was launched in 2019, writes H I Sutton. This boat is almost flat at the top, one theory is that the submarine is unmanned. If so, the Chinese development is the largest underwater drone in the world. Apparently, this is an experimental model, the author concludes.
The ultra-small X-class submarine in service with the Pakistan Navy is second on the list. Not much is known about her either: she first appeared in official photos from a military parade in Karachi. Apparently, it was built in 2016. The submarine may have to replace the aging Pakistani Cos.Mo.S MG-110 submarines used since the early 90's.
Another small submarine - this time made in China-was seen only once in satellite images in 2014. It reaches 35 meters in length. The expert assumes that the submarine has an electric or diesel-electric engine. Apparently, it is used for special operations, coastal defense or underwater combat.
The North Korean Sinpo-d submarine closes the list. It is also small - 16 meters long. It was spotted on satellite images of a secret North Korean shipyard. There were no official reports from Pyongyang regarding the development of this submarine and its purpose.
