PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, November 30. /TASS/. Flags of the search and rescue service were raised on the newest RAID diving boats of the Pacific fleet (TOF), which will be based in Kamchatka. This was reported by the press service of the military Department on Monday.
"In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a solemn ceremony of raising the flags of the search and rescue service was held on two modern RAID diving boats of the project 23040. The diving boats are designed to perform diving operations at depths of up to 60 m with sea waves of up to 3 points and are capable of conducting search operations using a small - sized remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle and towed sonar," the report says.
Other features of the new boats include extinguishing fires on ships and vessels, floating and coastal objects up to 30 m high, and providing power supply to a ship or vessel that is de-energized as a result of an accident.
