Moscow. November 29. INTERFAX - the First units of the medical detachment of special purpose (MOSN) The Eastern military district has arrived in the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, to provide assistance to the local population, the Russian defense Ministry said on Sunday.
"The MOSN units made a daily 300-kilometer crossing on vehicles as part of a column from Yerevan to Stepanakert. Earlier, military medics were transferred by Il-76 military transport aircraft from the airfields of the city of Khabarovsk to the Republic of Armenia, "Interfax reported.
The movement of the column was accompanied by patrols of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and military police, the Russian defense Ministry said.
More than 60 medical specialists, including military surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, therapists and epidemiologists, are reported to have arrived as part of the first MOS unit. The specialized medical center will be equipped with all the necessary medical equipment to provide high-quality medical care.
Peaceful life is being restored in the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers. Earlier, public transport was restored and traffic was restored. Engineering and technical units of the Russian contingent of the peacekeeping forces continue to assist the local administration in clearing public roads and restoring social infrastructure in the city.
