"The experience of operating the Ratnik, including in combat conditions, has shown what you need to pay special attention to, what is missing. Naturally, the third-generation combat equipment will be lighter, more ergonomic, more reliable and more technologically advanced. The new set of combat equipment can be supplemented with robotics for various purposes and elements of artificial intelligence, " he said.
Ozdoev stressed that "Sotnik" will be a completely new development, but it will take into account the experience gained in the framework of the development work "Ratnik".
According to him, at the moment, the main developer of combat equipment - the Central research Institute of precision engineering (TSNIITOCHMASH, part of rostec) has not received a technical task for the development of the "Centurion", but the company is already working on some elements that are part of the subsystems of the new combat equipment.
Earlier, Rostec announced plans for the Central research Institute of precision engineering (TSNIITOCHMASH) to open development work on the creation of third-generation combined-arms equipment in 2020. The set that will replace the "warrior" will be called "Centurion".
