"This year, we have completed the delivery of more than 3 thousand AK-12 assault rifles to the amphibious assault unit, which the personnel will start working with at the beginning of the new school year," said major General Nariman Timergazin, Deputy commander of the Airborne forces for logistics.

The AK-12 was developed by the Kalashnikov concern as part of the Ratnik program as an element of a promising complex for equipping military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.it was adopted at the end of 2018. it has improved ergonomics and accuracy of fire compared to previous generations.
Earlier, about 40 units were transferred to the paratroopers in Novorossiysk. the latest military equipment BMD-4M and BTR-MDM (Shell).
