Specialists of the 485th military representation of the Russian defense Ministry accepted 3 new multi-purpose su-35S of the 4++generation. This was reported on Wednesday morning in the military Department.
The aircraft were relocated from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant to the permanent airfields of the Russian aerospace forces (VKS). Two su-35S will go to the center for training aviation personnel and military tests of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation in Lipetsk, and another plane will remain in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the 23rd fighter aviation Tallinn regiment.
It is noted that the delivery completes a five-year contract, under which 50 su-35S were delivered to combat duty in the combat regiments of the Russian aerospace forces by the end of 2020.
The defense Ministry said that the su-35S fighter has maximum capabilities when operating in the air-to-ground range and over the water surface. This aircraft complex is distinguished by exceptionally high maneuverability combined with the presence of a wide range of weapons, as well as "intelligent" crew support.
Earlier, the defense Ministry showed the launch of the latest R-37M air-to-air missile from a su-35S fighter.
