Washington. November 22. INTERFAX-Strategic bombers B-52H Stratofortress performed a non-stop flight from the United States to the Middle East and back, said the Central command of the US armed forces.
"USAF B-52H Stratofortress crews from the 5th bombardment wing from Minot air force base, North Dakota, completed a long-range mission to the middle East on November 21 in order to deter aggression and assure US partners and allies of support," the report said.
The mission involved two b-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers. They were in the air for more than 24 hours. The planes, in particular, were recorded over Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia
In the middle East, they were accompanied by American f-15E and F-16 fighters. In addition, the KC-10 and KC-135 refueling planes provided bomber flights across the Atlantic to the middle East and back.
"The non-stop mission demonstrates the ability of the US armed forces to deploy combat aircraft anywhere in the world in a short time and integrate into Central command operations to help maintain regional stability and security," the command said.
