INTERFAX - more than 4,000 military exercises using anti-aircraft missile and artillery firing has fulfilled the Navy's missile troops and artillery in 2020, also held over 30 practical shooting high-precision missiles during planned military training, said the Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.
He congratulated naval gunners and rocket scientists on their professional holiday-the day of rocket troops and artillery. Evmenov's congratulations were distributed on Thursday by the Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry.
"Specialists of the Navy's missile and artillery armament service make an invaluable contribution to maintaining high combat readiness of The Navy's forces. Thanks to their skilful actions, ships and submarines successfully perform the tasks of firing from sea and ocean directions, " the commander-in-Chief of the Navy said.
Admiral Evmenov emphasized the fact that rocket gunners are able to perform tasks of any complexity, this is facilitated by the professionalism, skill, naval and combat training of military sailors and ship crews.
"The Navy's missile and artillery armament service is actively replenished with new weapons, including systems that have no analogues in the world. The best scientists and designers of the country have created and are creating missile weapons carriers for the Navy that are ahead of the scientific and technical process in the field of means of combat at sea," he stressed.
