"Rattling" is the lead Corvette of project 20385, which was laid down on February 1, 2012 and launched in June 2017. Corvettes of this project were developed at the Almaz Central design Bureau. They are designed for performing escort and strike tasks in the near sea zone, patrolling coastal waters, and patrol duty.
The Gremyashchy Corvette will be the first Kalibr missile carrier ship in the Pacific fleet. On October 31, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to the Corvette under construction, announced that it was planned to be equipped with the latest hypersonic missiles "Zircon".
