TSAMTO, November 10. The new Il-76MD-90A is equipped with the latest systems and equipment: flight and navigation complex, communications complex and defense complex. This made it possible to significantly improve the flight characteristics and performance of the machine.
This was announced by the chief designer of Il-76, Il-78 PJSC "Il" Andrey Yurasov in the program "Military acceptance" on the TV channel "Zvezda".
The aircraft implements the principle of a "glass" cabin, which reduces the load on the crew. Information is displayed on the digital field of the cockpit, on 9 multifunctional screens that replaced the analog devices installed on the previous generation of transport aircraft. Displaying navigation and system status on a single screen allows flight personnel to quickly get the necessary information (spatial position of the aircraft, speed, altitude, etc.) and perform better situational control during the flight.
"In total, the plane has nine such screens. Six pilots in the cockpit, two for the Navigator, and one for the flight engineer. Each of the crew members can output the information that they need at the given moment. One such screen replaces at least a dozen analog devices, " said A. Yurasov.
A single electronic display and information system and a single processor allow for increased accuracy of aircraft navigation, including automation and precision of landing. To increase situational awareness of the crew during the flight or Parking at the airport, the Il-76MD-90A has a video recording system installed. Several surveillance cameras record everything that happens in the cockpit, in the cargo cabin, on the ramp.
"After completing the task, you can decrypt and view the entire flight record. For the first time, the pilot can see how the landing process is taking place without looking up from the control of the aircraft," said A. Yurasov.
Il-76MD-90A is equipped with a new communication system that provides high-quality telephone communication, data exchange, satellite communication, as well as the latest set of defense equipment that allows you to adequately work out defensive measures and provide full protection from various enemy weapons.
The Il-76MD-90A is a deeply upgraded version of the Il-76. Aircraft developer: IL PJSC is the parent company of the transport aviation division of UAC PJSC (part of rostec state Corporation), which includes Aviastar-SP JSC, where serial production of the aircraft is carried out.
