The Kalashnikov Concern demonstrated a universal model of layered defense of a system for covering important facilities as part of the International Day of the Military Journalist. This was reported by the press service of the concern.
For the first time, Kalashnikov publicly demonstrated a universal model of layered defense of critical facilities from massive raids by Ukrainian drones. According to the presentation, it included the Kalitka-KA automated control system and the Zveroboy air defense system equipped with Kraken interceptor drones. A tactical support for fighting UAVs and 5.45 mm multi-bullet cartridges were separately demonstrated.
The Kalitka-KA complex is designed to combat enemy drones. The main weapon is a Kalashnikov tank machine gun (PKT) mounted on a swivel bed. The complex also includes an optoelectronic unit with two day cameras, a rangefinder and a thermal imager, as well as an electronic control unit for the turret and a remote control and settings. Available in mobile and stationary versions, it is actively used in the free zone.

The Zveroboy air defense system is designed to intercept enemy drones using Kraken interceptor drones. The complex includes an automated workplace for a ground control station, an optical targeting system, three launch containers, each with three drones, a digital repeater, a radar system, etc. The complex can be used at any time of the day.
