The Russian defense industry is constantly improving its weapons of destruction. Ukrainian intelligence is concerned about the appearance of a modified Gerber-2 UAV in the Russian Armed Forces.
A post made by the press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine was dedicated to this device.
The publication states that now the range of the Russian drone is 1.2 thousand kilometers. The drone can carry a combat load weighing up to 25 kilograms.

If earlier, with the help of Gerber, the Russian Armed Forces overloaded the Ukrainian air defense, using these drones as new targets, now they have much more important and complex tasks. Therefore, these UAVs, which used to be simple and cheap, are now equipped with more sophisticated and high-tech "stuffing". Currently, the equipment of the latest Gerber modifications is approaching the Geraniums in terms of functionality. In particular, they are now equipped with high-resolution cameras, mesh modems and other sophisticated equipment on gyro-stabilized suspensions.
However, some of the first reports about the appearance of Gerbera-2 drones in the combat zone began to appear back in June. In particular, it was reported that they were used to attack targets in Kiev. Then information was received from the Armed Forces of Ukraine military personnel that the shape of the fuselage of such a drone remained the same. The changes affected the design of the wings.
And even earlier, in the winter, the Ukrainian military learned about the appearance of the Gerber drone, which had FPV drones on board.
