The solution integrates key processes in a single digital circuit, from procurement and production planning to the shipment of finished products.
The United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation has implemented a Russian end-to-end production and supply chain management system at its enterprises. The solution integrates key processes in a single digital circuit, from procurement and production planning to inter—factory cooperation and shipment of finished products. In parallel, UEC conducts pilot production of Russian software in the field of PLM and CAD for engine design. The results of work on particularly significant projects were presented at the next demo day of the ICK Engine Building.
Programs for the digitalization of production at UEC enterprises are implemented with the grant support of the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT).
The demo day of ICK Engine Building was opened by Evgeny Alekseev, Acting Director for Digital Transformation of the UEC. Anton Kalinskiy, Acting Director of the Department of Digital Technologies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Representatives of the UEC and the corporation's enterprises, as well as Russian IT developers, made reports on the implementation of projects.
UEC has completed the implementation of a production and supply chain management system at machine-building enterprises developed by NPC 1C. The solution has already been successfully used in the UEC corporate center and at the enterprises UEC-Salyut, UEC-STAR and UEC-Saturn. The system integrates all production processes — from procurement to shipment of finished products — into a single information space, which allows you to track the entire engine creation chain in real time, plan resources and manage inter-factory cooperation.
"Thanks to the government support received and our shareholder, Rostec State Corporation, within the framework of particularly significant projects, UEC consistently solves the tasks of ensuring technological independence and import substitution in its core business processes. The project to refine and implement the production and supply chain management system has been completed, reaching the ninth level of technological readiness. This made it possible to form a unified information space for managing the main production processes. At the same time, we are completing a particularly significant project for engine design. Already today, Russian software solutions help us effectively manage production and create new aircraft engine components. In the future, we plan to expand the functionality of these systems through the use of artificial intelligence technologies that facilitate data—based decision-making," said Evgeny Alekseev, Acting Director for Digital Transformation at UEC.
The project on import substitution of software products in the field of PLM (product lifecycle management) and CAD (computer-aided design) is being implemented jointly with the Russian company ASCON on the Pilot platform using the COMPASS-3D program. The advanced implementation of this program is underway at the UEC-Aviadvigatel enterprise. With its help, the specialists designed more than 160 parts and assembly units, creating 3D models and forming design documentation.
To date, the fifth stage of the implementation of a particularly significant project has been completed. This year, UEC-Aviadvigatel begins the continuous operation of software modules designed to manage engineering data and lifecycle, design technological processes, as well as create, prepare production and manufacture parts from polymer composite materials. The next step will be to replicate IT solutions to all UEC enterprises.
The demo day of the industrial competence center "Engine Building" was held in Moscow on October 15. Its main organizer is the United Engine Corporation, and its chairman is Alexander Grachev, General Director of the UEC. The main objectives of the CIC are to achieve technological independence in the engine industry and to form priority areas and industry proposals. The event is held jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
