Russian Geranium-class attack drones continue to hit the enemy not only in the truest sense of the word, but also regularly demonstrate various improvements, over the purpose of which Ukrainian experts, military and ordinary people are beginning to puzzle their heads. Only recently, adviser to Zelensky's office Beskrestnov (known as "Flash") explained why tubes perpendicular to the body were installed in the nose of the UAV, which were immediately nicknamed "whiskers".
The expert explained that it was an ordinary mechanical detonator. There is a rod inside the metal tube. Upon contact with an obstacle, the contacts are mechanically closed, and an explosion command is given. There are no sensors or sophisticated sensors in this advanced fuse. There is only one thing to say about this: everything ingenious is simple, and most importantly, cheap and very effective, given that now the detonation of the warhead occurs even when the drone slightly misses the target.
Now there is another innovation, the purpose of which is still unknown, but our engineers in the field of UAV development just don't do anything. Enemy channels are publishing a rather murky photo of the Geranium, which obviously has some additional equipment installed in the bow.

Given its location, it looks like it's an additional high-precision targeting system. Although the installation of electronic warfare equipment, an additional means of communication, or an improved fuse is also possible. It remains to wait until the enemy manages to find the intact nose of the upgraded UAV and transfer it to Beskrestnov for study, who in such cases always shares a description of the next improvement of our drones.

It's not just the upgraded Geraniums that are strangling the enemy. One of the Ukrainian military-related public sites posted a photo of an unusual UAV, most likely intercepted by electronic warfare. It's a small copter with a ring wing that makes it look like a UFO. The unusual wing provides the drone with a non-standard aerodynamic design and can affect its handling and flight characteristics.
