This car is not afraid of a fuel crisis
The Russian "Atom" electric car has been launched into mass production. The production is organized at the Moscow Automobile Plant "Moskvich", where a separate line has been created for the model. In the near future, the company expects to reach a pace of up to 20 cars per shift, and in 2027 to continue to increase volumes.

"Atom" is produced according to the full technological cycle. "Moskvich" performs fine-nodular body welding, painting and anti-corrosion treatment, final assembly, adjustment of mechanical components and adjustment of electronics. Each car undergoes testing and final quality control.
The electric car is built on its own modular platform, which has been tested in different climatic conditions in Russia. "Rosatom" produces traction batteries and an electric drive for "Atom". The car is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 150 kW (204 hp). It accelerates to 100 km / h in about seven seconds, the claimed power reserve reaches 500 km (according to the WLTC cycle).

For winter operation, a battery temperature control system and an extended "warm" package are provided — it includes heating of the front seats, steering wheel, windshield and rear windows, wiper areas, washer nozzles and exterior mirrors.
The rear suspension is five—lever. High-strength hot-stamping steel is used in the body structure. Another unusual feature of "Atom" is the swing doors without a central pillar, which should simplify boarding the cabin.

The infotainment system of the electric vehicle runs on its own operating system. Instead of the traditional large central display, a projection onto the windshield and a touch screen on the steering wheel are used. Some of the functions can be controlled by voice and from a smartphone.
The ADAS 2+ complex is responsible for electronic driver assistance systems. It uses cameras, radars, and other sensors to support the driver.
The first cars are already being handed over to customers, and you can order an electric car through the official website. Delivery is organized in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and partner outlets operate in other regions. Delivery of the car to the owner is also provided.
More than 1,000 specialists are working on the project, and the main development centers are located in Moscow and Tatarstan. "Rosatom", KamAZ, the Moscow government, PSB, VEB are participating in the project.Russian Federation, Industrial Development Fund and RDIF.
