In February 2022, the French army announced that the first Jaguar reconnaissance and combat armored vehicles (EBRC), designed to replace the AMX-10RCR, ERC-90 Sagaie and VAB HOT, had been transferred to the troops.
However, it turned out that the stabilization of the Jaguar turret needed to be improved, which caused a pause in deliveries. The Ministry of Defense then noted:
In mid-2024, the military department noted that Jaguar R2 is now capable of "firing on the move at moving targets" using 40-mm CTA cannons and a remotely controlled 7.62-mm machine gun. However, the equipment did not reach full combat readiness, as the integration of the MBDA Akeron MP ATGM (R3 standard) was required.

Finally, on September 18, 2026, the Ministry of Defense announced that back in April, the Jaguar in the latest modification of the R3 was recognized as combat-ready, and in July, permission was granted for its operation.:
