Rostec has opened a large center in Moscow for the production of aircraft engine parts for the "Superjet" and MC-21

The United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation has opened a unique production and technology center in Moscow. One of the largest in the capital, its area is more than 10 thousand square meters. meters. These facilities have organized the production of parts for aircraft engines, including PD-8 for the "Superjet" aircraft and PD-14 for the MC-21 airliner. A training center has also been opened here, where specialists will be trained for the aviation industry and enterprises of the Moscow region.

""Levers and Brackets"" production and technological center on the territory of UEC-Salyut was attended by Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education, Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction, Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, and Alexander Grachev, CEO of UEC. The participants toured the new site and got acquainted with the samples of products that will be produced here.

Valery Falkov recalled that the improvement of engineering and technical education, including through close cooperation of higher and secondary vocational education organizations with real production, is a strategic task set by the President of Russia. The relevant work is currently being carried out by the Government of the Russian Federation. The new center, which will train specialists for the aviation industry and enterprises of the Moscow region, is an example of such work.

"The goal is to combine the good fundamental theoretical knowledge provided by our best technical universities with the acquisition of the most advanced skills and familiarity with the most advanced production. The establishment of such a center at Rostec United Engine Corporation today is fully contributing to this task," said Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education.

He also added that systematic work in this direction has been carried out over the past years with Rostec State Corporation and enterprises within its contour, including as part of the implementation of the flagship projects of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science — Advanced Engineering Schools and "Priority 2030".

"About 300-400 thousand square meters of new industrial space are being commissioned in Moscow every year. Since the beginning of this year alone, their volume has already reached 390 thousand square meters. The development of production facilities makes it possible not only to strengthen the city's economy and solve import substitution problems, but also to create new jobs in different areas of the capital, including near housing. This is one of the important principles of forming a polycentric city where residents can work close to home. Moscow's cooperation with Rostec also makes a significant contribution to this work. For its part, the city creates conditions for the implementation of new industrial projects, including providing investors with land plots on preferential terms as part of a mechanism for large—scale investment projects," said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.

The building area exceeds 10 thousand square meters. meters. The fleet of modern equipment totals about 230 units and includes high-tech machines and installations that allow performing all basic technological operations. Production of serial parts for PD-14, PD-8, AI-222-25 aircraft engines, TV7-117 and VK-2500 family power plants is organized here.

Today, the capital is not only a production base, but also an integrated scientific and industrial complex that unites advanced research institutes, experimental design bureaus, and personnel training centers. The opening of the new production and technology center has become an important stage for further localization of the production of critical components for domestic aircraft," said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

"Today, enormous forces and resources are involved in the implementation of programs in the field of aircraft construction. We are building and modernizing workshops, purchasing equipment, and developing cooperation. And, most importantly, we are training people who will work in these industries. Every year, more than 750 college students will be able to complete training at the new training center in Moscow. They will leave these walls with highly qualified specialists who will contribute to the creation of serial engines for new Russian aircraft," said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.

""Levers and Brackets" production and technological center at "ODK-Salyut" will train highly qualified specialists in parallel with production. College students will master at least five working professions, which will allow them to comprehensively assess the production process and flexibly respond to changes in technological chains. The opening of the center is a continuation of a large—scale project that Rostec State Corporation has been implementing since 2022 jointly with the Moscow Department of Education and Science to train workers and engineers for the Moscow region.

"To create a high-tech product, an equally complex production process is needed, which must constantly be saturated with innovations. Its successful implementation is possible only with the availability of first-class specialists and advanced equipment. The new production and technology center meets these conditions. Last academic year alone, 1,500 Moscow students completed internships at "ODK-Salyut". Our new platform gives young specialists the opportunity to fully realize their potential and is working to fulfill key production programs of the UEC, including the production of parts for PD-8, PD-14 and other advanced power plants," said Alexander Grachev, General Director of the UEC.

The production site includes seven sites with equipment for turning and milling parts on software-controlled machines, grinding, drilling and locksmith work. In nine educational laboratories equipped with the latest technology, students will master methods for calculating electrical circuits, quality control of parts, and study the operation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as industrial automation systems. Students will learn how to determine the properties of metals and alloys, as well as master key skills in industrial mechanics and equipment installation.

For example, students at the "Mechatronics" laboratory will design mechatronic systems, write software for controllers, and test prototypes. This will prepare them to work with modern production facilities. In one of the most high—tech laboratories "Metallovedenie", students will be able to test materials for compression, stretching, twisting and fracture resistance. There are almost 20 high-tech installations installed here, including high-precision microscopes for studying materials.
