The Irkutsk Aircraft Factory completed the assembly of the second serial MC-21-310 and on August 31, 2026, handed over the machine to the flight test unit. The aircraft has the serial number MS.0015 and consists only of Russian components. Like the first production aircraft, which has been flying since August 3, the new aircraft is designed for the country's largest airline, Aeroflot.
The assembly of serial passenger aircraft MC-21-310 is underway in Irkutsk under the first contract with Aeroflot for 18 aircraft. He is followed by the second one, already on 90 sides. Therefore, today it is important to gain a working pace by the end of certification tests and the start of the delivery of finished aircraft to the customer.

After the assembly is completed, the aircraft does not take to the sky immediately – the ground training cycle begins, where all on-board systems, aggregates, and engines are checked. The first production flight (MS.0014) took about 2 months from the completion of assembly to the first flight. Further, the terms will gradually decrease, and the number of aircraft produced will grow. By the end of 2027, after completion of all certification procedures, Russia's largest airline should receive the first 8 serial MC-21-310.
Irkutsk Aircraft Factory is actively working on the first serial batch of medium–haul passenger aircraft - the following 18 machines are in various stages of assembly at the enterprise in early September 2026. The production plans include gradually increasing the serial production of the MC-21 to 36 aircraft per year. To do this, the company is constantly working on optimizing processes in the workshops and putting new equipment into operation.
