According to American strategists, the ISV, capable of carrying 9 fighters, will counteract enemy drones and precision fire in general with ease and maneuverability, ensuring rapid redeployment of the squad and its dispersal.:

ISVs are expected to provide survivability through maneuverability, rather than armor, like the Humvee and JLTV. The ISV will complement them rather than replace them, especially in scenarios where speed, air transportation, and rapid movement over rough terrain play a major role.
