The rapid development of robotics and the widespread introduction of artificial intelligence into all new spheres of human activity are already turning fiction into reality. Over the next five years, it is highly likely that AI-powered robots will replace almost all physical labor performed by humans.
This forecast was made by David Reger, founder and CEO of the German robotics company Neura Robotics, in an interview with Bloomberg. An entrepreneur from Germany called the pace of development of physical artificial intelligence and robotics "amazing."
The Japanese company Noetra plans to deploy more than 10 million humanoid robots in various industries by 2040, supported by the government of the country. They will be implemented in key areas such as disaster management, manufacturing, care for the elderly, and decommissioning of the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant.

So far, humanoid robots are too expensive. However, San Francisco-based Nor Robotics has just announced the release of its first robot, the Nori A3, priced at less than $2,000 for everyday use. It can lift up to 55 kg in an upright position, works for six to eight hours without recharging, and has 19 degrees of freedom (directions of movement).

Jeff Bezos, the founder of the American Amazon corporation, believes that AI will not become a competitor to humans and will not take away jobs. He called these concerns exaggerated and said that as technology advances, artificial intelligence will increase productivity by reducing the time it takes humans to complete tasks. Bezos is confident that, in fact, the widespread adoption of AI will lead to a shortage of labor.
