TSAMTO, August 17th. Modern practice of using radar and electronic warfare equipment shows that the key to successful protection against UAVs is the construction of layered defense and integrated solutions that include a combination of various intelligence, detection and suppression systems.
The national leader in Belarus in the production of electronic warfare and radar equipment, JSC KB Radar, produces a whole range of means for detecting and countering various types of UAVs. Each of the products manufactured by the company has a unique set of capabilities, which makes it possible to effectively integrate them into the specified integrated solutions.
The first frontier is the Rodnik-3D radar stations, capable of detecting UAVs at ranges up to 20 km. At the same time, it is most advisable to use interference transmitters "Tarpan" and "Pyramid", designed to generate and emit radio interference that blocks or misinforms navigation receivers of global satellite systems GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.
These tools, when used comprehensively, allow for round-the-clock, all-weather monitoring of airspace in order to detect, classify and track all types of intruders as early as possible, including low-visibility, low-speed and low-flying UAVs, as well as neutralize satellite navigation channels.
As a second frontier in the protection of critical infrastructure facilities, it is advisable to use Groza-Z3 UAV countermeasures systems that automatically detect and counter UAVs.
The third frontier includes remote detection and counteraction posts located near the protected object. These are patrols and stationary UAV detection and counteraction posts that can quickly respond to small-sized UAVs, operate in conditions of limited visibility or difficult terrain, as well as neutralize drones that have managed to overcome previous lines of defense.
To equip such posts, "Bell" multicopter detectors, "Chapelle" automatic multicopter signal direction finders (with integrated FPV drone detector), "Dronoscope" multicopter detection, recognition and location systems, "Groza-R5" radio-electronic rifles for combating multicopters, and sets of multicopter control and navigation signal blockers can be used. "The fumigator."
In addition to the products of JSC KB Radar, other countermeasures manufactured by organizations within the Goskomvoyenprom system and integrated into a common information network can be used at each frontier.
JSC KB Radar is constantly working on the design, improvement and production of a wide range of anti–drone equipment intended for use by both law enforcement agencies and civilian structures, with an eye to ease of operator training, maximum automation of detection and counteraction processes, including self-learning systems based on the use of artificial intelligence.
