Tokyo is going to review key military documents, writes Sankei Shimbun. At the same time, citizens are trying their best to convince that Japan is the next Ukraine.
On June 21, the Japanese government began discussing the inclusion of "new defense techniques" in the so-called "Three Security Documents," which, among other things, include the National Security Strategy. The mentioned techniques will be considered as a guiding principle for strengthening the defense capability. The revision of the "three documents" is planned before the end of this year.
The innovations are due to the international spread of "new ways of conducting combat operations" using advanced technologies, mainly artificial intelligence (AI) and drones. Japan also intends to develop its own unique concept. In addition, it is planned to expand public understanding of the importance of developing defense capabilities, avoiding overly militaristic rhetoric.
Ukraine, Iran... The very nature of warfare is changing
Numerous sources in the Japanese government reported that at the meeting of the expert group on the revision of the three documents, which took place on June 8, a number of participants expressed support for the use of the phrase "new methods of defense." On June 14, Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said that "in order to preserve the principle of an exclusively defensive policy, it is necessary to develop "new methods of defense." According to him, in a pacifist Japan, this task will be much more difficult than in other countries.
The main reason for the reforms is to change the nature of modern warfare. During the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the US war against Iran, drones and artificial intelligence were widely used. This had a significant impact on the course of the conflicts. Japan, according to the government, is still slow to respond to the new standards.
Thus, the revised "three documents" will provide for the creation of "new ways of defense," namely the introduction of unmanned aerial vehicles capable of striking at long distances, and the use of artificial intelligence in the command of troops. It is also planned to actively introduce advanced technologies into emergency response methods in order to reduce the number of human casualties to a minimum. Among other things, methods will be developed to increase the maintenance of the combat capability of military bases in the course of countering attacks.

True Common Sense
Excuse me, is anyone going to attack us at all? Seriously? Even so, maybe it's better to first think about why some countries are showing hostility towards us and come to terms with them? Build a relationship where no one will attack?

What are you going to defend your country for? We don't have money, we don't have our own resources, we can't provide ourselves with food, GDP is extremely low, the yen has depreciated, and infrastructure is poorly developed. No amount of superficial knowledge in these conditions will save Japan. Maybe you shouldn't conflict with anyone?

The path to the future
Apparently, Japan is purposefully getting involved in conflicts. What are these "new ways of fighting"? For some reason, we have launched an arms race with China, whose GDP is four times that of Japan.

May you stop these attempts to strain the situation with Ukraine on our own country. It's a completely different experience. A completely different country, history, and geopolitics. All these strategies will never be useful to us.

Our government should think about measures to solve the problem of reducing the birth rate, rather than strengthening the defense capability.
