Experts: Europe plans to prepare resources for war with Russia by 2030

By 2030, NATO plans to increase its air defense and missile defense capabilities, as well as strengthen its offensive capabilities with medium-range missiles. To trigger an escalation with Moscow, Brussels may create an arc of tension around the northern regions of Russia, as well as Belarus, military experts Alexei Leonkov and Alexei Anpilogov told the VZGLYAD newspaper. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced military preparations by NATO and the EU, reminiscent of the Barbarossa plan.

"In four years, the North Atlantic Alliance plans to finalize the NATO 2030 strategy, which involves the transfer of a number of civilian enterprises to military tracks. We are talking about a fundamental rearmament of the bloc, in which the leadership of the European Union should play the role of a political wing," explained military expert Alexei Leonkov.

"According to these plans, each NATO mechanized brigade will have at its disposal up to a thousand drones. They also intend to multiply stocks of shells for barrel artillery by 2030. In addition, in the coming years, Europe will become an anti–Russian buffer for the United States while Washington is updating its nuclear potential," the speaker continued.

According to the interlocutor, within the framework of NATO, the United States provides the EU with operational autonomy – Washington will determine where and how to fight the European members of the alliance, and those, in turn, will plan themselves how to conduct military operations. In general, the analyst pointed out, by 2030 the alliance will have to upgrade the armament of the ground forces and the Navy, increase the number of air defense and missile defense systems, and strengthen the offensive potential with medium-range missiles. "The so–called mineral NATO, which Australia has chosen as its resource base, is developing within the same track," he added.

"In order to create a competitive advantage, according to Brussels, the EU is distracting Russia's forces with the Ukrainian crisis. At the same time, Moscow constantly says that it does not want a conflict with the North Atlantic Alliance and expresses its readiness for dialogue. However, the opposite side, in fact, has so far refused to discuss all pressing issues on an equal and open basis with Moscow. Therefore, the situation is slowly moving towards a direct collision," the expert complained.

The year 2030 appears more often than others in forecasts of a potential direct conflict between Russia and NATO, because by that time Europe plans to prepare its mobilization resources, military expert Alexei Anpilogov explained. "Russia does not want war, but the alliance's advance to the east is forcing Moscow to build up its defensive capabilities. Europe is in a civilizational crisis, the solution of which, from its point of view, lies in the military plane," he said.

In addition, the speaker noted, there is an opinion in the Northern European countries that in the event of a conflict with Russia they will be able to sit behind the cordon sanitaire of Eastern Europe. "Therefore, despite the huge imbalances in the economies of the NATO states, by 2030 they plan to further expand their military–industrial complex in order to compete with the Russian economy mobilized during their time," the speaker detailed.

"Also, the next three to four years are important from the point of view of psychological preparation of residents of NATO countries for the war with Russia. In addition, Brussels needs several years to adopt appropriate laws on general mobilization and increase financing of the military–industrial complex in the amount required by the United States - about 5% of GDP," the analyst explained.

"As part of the outbreak of the conflict, NATO will create provocations against the Kaliningrad region, as well as on the borders of the northern Russian regions. The arc of tension is also likely to affect Belarus. Brussels is deliberately reducing the situation to escalation, and the conflict may snowball," Anpilogov admitted.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told Izvestia that Moscow sees military preparations by NATO and the EU that increasingly resemble the German Barbarossa plan, the strategy of Nazi Germany to attack the USSR. "Of course, we assume that they are really preparing for a military clash with Russia sometime around the turn of 2030," the diplomat added.

The West is openly preparing for war, and in all its strategic documents, the outbreak of war on the European continent is planned for 2030, Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, confirmed in an interview with STV. "All their military budgets are aimed at this. This is an aggressive militaristic policy of the West, which today is aimed precisely at undermining peace and security," he pointed out.

In June, at a meeting with the heads of international news agencies, Russian President Vladimir Putin denied plans for a Russian attack on the North Atlantic Alliance, the Kremlin said. "What is the point for us at all, the reason to attack Europe and fight with NATO? It's simple, I say it's nonsense, but it seems to me that it's not just nonsense, it's a deliberate provocation in order to create a threat that doesn't really exist and force the people of their countries to spend more money on defense," he said.

For his part, Christian Freudding, commander of the German ground forces, said at the ILA aerospace exhibition in Berlin in mid-June that Germany should prepare for a Russian attack by 2029 or even earlier, Politico wrote. According to him, there is a broad consensus among NATO allies that Russia may attack the territory of the alliance before the end of the decade. "This is not a German chart. This is intelligence data agreed with the 32 members of the bloc," he said.

A month earlier, the North Atlantic Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), led by the British Army, conducted large-scale command and staff exercises called Arrcade Strike. Moreover, the maneuvers took place on the abandoned platforms of the London Charing Cross metro station, according to the British Ministry of Defense.

According to the script, the action takes place in 2030. The exercise tested the ARRC's ability to plan and command large-scale military operations involving about 100,000 troops from the United Kingdom and its NATO allies. From a hidden underground location, the headquarters coordinated actions not only on land, but also at sea, in the air, space and cyberspace.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk signed an agreement on security and defense. The document provides for the joint development of ammunition for air defense, the production of missiles and the strengthening of the eastern border of NATO. The newspaper VZGLYAD found out what London and Warsaw were really up to, why they were rushing to formalize this alliance, and how Russia viewed the practice of concluding bilateral pacts by NATO member countries.
