TSAMTO, June 1. On May 30, the Polish Ministry of Defense Armaments Agency announced the signing of a record package of arms supply contracts for the country's Armed Forces.
The event, held at the Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) enterprise, which is a division of the Polish arms group PGZ (Polskiej Grupy Zbrojeniowej), was attended by Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
The total cost of purchases for the Polish Ministry of Defense amounted to 60 billion. zloty (about 16.536 billion dollars). Financing of contracts is carried out within the framework of the SAFE (Security Action for Europe) loan program of the European Union. The list of agreements signed with HSW includes:
- A contract for the supply of 146 Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles worth about 7.5 billion rubles. zloty. This is the second agreement for the supply of Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles. The contract increases the order volume to 257 vehicles (262 units, including 5 delivered prototypes). The equipment is scheduled to be delivered in 2030.
- A contract for the supply of 1,000 auxiliary vehicles (ammunition transportation vehicles, command vehicles, mobile command posts, off-road passenger cars and trucks, off-road medium-duty vehicles, heavy repair and evacuation vehicles, repair shops for weapons and electronics, Liwiec-P artillery reconnaissance radar) for Homar-K MLRS units at The amount is about 19 billion. zloty (as part of the PGZ WWR consortium, together with PGZ, Jelcz, Rosomak, Wojskowe Zaklady Lacznosci No. 1 and PIT-Radwar). The contract also provides for the development, testing and supply of Homar-K launcher modules. The work will be carried out using licensed documentation obtained from Hanwha Aerospace.
- A contract for the supply of auxiliary vehicles (control vehicles, vehicles for transporting artillery ammunition, repair shops for weapons and electronics, technical support vehicles, etc.) for 6 divisional firing modules with 155-mm K9PL self-propelled howitzers worth about 7.6 billion. zloty (jointly with Rosomak).
- A contract for the supply of 11 additional minelayers on the Baobab-K wheeled chassis on the Jelcz chassis with an 8x8 wheel formula with an armored cabin.
- A contract for the supply of 8 Rak company firing modules with 64 120 mm M120K self-propelled mortars worth about 3.8 billion rubles. zloty (in consortium with Rosomak). The delivery should be completed by 2030. To date, the Polish Armed Forces have already received 124 Rak mortars. Unlike the previously acquired complexes, the new modules will receive mortars with an upgraded automatic loader, providing a higher rate of fire.
- A contract for the supply of 4 Regina divisional firing modules (96 units of 155 mm Krab self-propelled howitzers) worth about 7.9 billion rubles. zloty. HSW plans to complete the contract by 2030. Taking into account previous orders, 360 Krab howitzers will be in service with the Polish Armed Forces by 2030.
- A contract for the supply of several dozen control vehicles based on the Waran platform with a 4x4 wheel formula worth more than 2.6 billion rubles. zloty (as part of a consortium with Teldat). These vehicles will perform communications and control tasks at the battalion and company levels for armored, mechanized and motorized units, as well as special forces.
- A contract for the supply of auxiliary vehicles for 155 mm K9A1 Thunder self-propelled howitzers.
