According to analysts at the investment company Kama Flow, the volume of the Russian market of end effectors (interchangeable working tools) for industrial robots may grow more than 25 times — from 6.6 billion rubles in 2024 to 168.4 billion rubles by 2030. According to Kama Flow estimates, by 2030, the volume of individual segments of the Russian end effector market will amount to: metalworking (loading/unloading of machines, moving workpieces, welding and processing) — 11.52 billion rubles; pharmaceuticals and biologically active substances (dietary supplements) — 8.25 billion rubles; packaging, packaging and movement of products in the cosmetics and household industries chemicals — 8 billion rubles; logistics — 6.6 billion rubles. Analysts attribute the market growth to the active expansion of the industrial robot fleet in Russia. According to the study, the number of industrial robots in the country may increase by 2030.: under the pessimistic scenario — from 20,804 units in 2024 to 40,906 units; under the optimistic scenario — up to 104,320 units.
The robotization of industrial production is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Means of Production and Automation". About 100 billion rubles of budget funds are provided for its implementation until 2030. The national project provides for a set of support measures for both manufacturers and integrators of robotics, as well as for customer enterprises. Investments are directed in three main areas: conducting research and development (R&D), creating the necessary infrastructure and stimulating demand for industrial robots. One of the key goals of the national project is to make Russia one of the top 25 countries in the world in terms of production robotics density by 2030.
The future will be determined by several sectors of the economy, the key among them is robotics, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in April 2026.
"The global industrial robot market will grow by an average of 20-25% per year over the next decade. The introduction of such machines provides a number of advantages — it speeds up production, helps staff with routine tasks, ensures more stable quality and control," Mikhail Mishustin said.
He also highlighted digital transformation, cybersecurity and new mobility among other promising areas.
The end effector can be compared to a human hand or car tires, Vyacheslav Tselkovsky, head of the Digital Solutions department at the Reksoft Industrial Automation Department, explains to Vedomosti. According to him, industrial robots perform a large number of similar movements during operation, which leads to natural wear of the working organs. At the same time, grips and other end effectors often account for 20-25% of the cost of the entire robot. "The supply of such products is always beneficial for both distributors and manufacturers," the expert notes. "In addition, changing the type of products produced requires replacing equipment, which also supports stable demand for end effectors."
The cost of an industrial robot starts from 4.2 million rubles. without taking into account the state subsidy of 50%, which is provided to customers for the introduction of robotics, Andrei Gartung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Robot Factory, told Vedomosti in an interview.
According to Artem Lukin, CEO of Technored, the cost of Technored robotic systems averages two to four million rubles, depending on the configuration. Thus, the price of one end effector (capture) varies from 400 thousand to one million rubles.
In May 2026, customers are implementing robotic systems much more actively than in 2023-2024, says Timofey Voronin, Project Manager at Intelligent Analytics. He attributes this dynamic to the desire of enterprises to reduce costs, as well as to the worsening shortage of personnel in production.
According to Kommersant, in January 2026, the volume of the Russian industrial robotics market in 2025 amounted to 7.86 billion rubles, demonstrating an increase of 14% compared to 2024. If the current pace of development is maintained, the market will reach 15.1 billion rubles by 2030.
