In modern warfare, camouflage can no longer be limited solely to visual camouflage. It should also provide thermal imaging, infrared and radar stealth. Multispectral camouflage offers a comprehensive solution, which the Swiss Ministry of Defense used by ordering camouflage systems from three companies in November 2025 – SSZ Camouflage Technology AG (Switzerland), Saro GmbH Ghosthood (Germany) and Saab (Sweden).

The MOWAG Eagle V 6x6 reconnaissance armored vehicles should receive camouflage. In November 2019, the army purchased 100 units of equipment from GDELS-MOWAG for about $500 million at the current exchange rate. The vehicles are equipped with the latest TASYS tactical reconnaissance system and are equipped with a multi-sensor unit on a retractable telescopic mast for data collection in the frontline area. The deal should be closed by the end of 2026.

It is noteworthy that the disguise is intended not only for fighters and equipment – even horses are "wrapped up" in it. The last cavalry units of the Swiss Army were disbanded in 1972. However, the military still uses horses for logistics and other tasks, mainly in high-altitude areas where the use of wheeled vehicles is impractical.
