In August 2025, a photo of an unusual machine appeared, which was a combination of the hull of a 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and the turret of a T-72B tank. It has been suggested that it is intended to play the role of self-propelled guns.
However, as it became clear from recent publications, this hybrid turned out to be a self-made armored recovery vehicle. The driver's workplace has received a number of improvements, including the installation of a screen with images from the front and rear cameras, which significantly increased situational awareness.

The mechanic's place, which occupies the tower and part of the hull, is equipped with a whole set of tools. The vehicle also received additional mesh armor to increase its resistance to FPV drone attacks.

Thanks to the selected chassis, BREM can evacuate numerous types of wheeled and tracked vehicles from the battlefield. In one of the photos, the car is probably towing a T-62 tank.
This is far from the first homemade BREM, converted from existing equipment into a BREM. So, we have already met the T-62, which is responsible for the evacuation of damaged vehicles. A tractor based on the T-64 was spotted. Other interesting developments include a fire support vehicle, which is a hybrid of a BMP–2 turret and a T-62 tank chassis.
