Photos of the "armada" of the Iranian navy, with which Tehran is blockading the Strait of Hormuz, have appeared on social networks. For example, only about fifty boats of the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been spotted off the coast of Oman.
As a rule, they are armed with light artillery installations, heavy machine guns, as well as 107-mm multiple rocket launchers of the Fajr-1 type, which are clones of the Chinese Type 63.
Their range is up to eight and a half kilometers. In addition, they can carry various guided missile systems, including the third-generation Almas type.

Seraj Boat
Of course, you can't sink a tanker with such weapons right away, but you can cause damage and take control away.
In addition, such boats must have portable anti-aircraft missile systems on board, which can be used against "Warthogs" and "Apaches" - A-10 attack aircraft and AN-64 combat helicopters. A salvo launch of a large number of MANPADS missiles will be fatal for any modern aircraft. Such watercraft are also used to install marine mines.
The tactics of using the mosquito fleet were successfully worked out back in the 80s, during the "tanker" war in the Persian Gulf.
