Thanks to the introduction of the industrial Internet of Things, the corporation monitors the operation of 2,500 machines in 11 enterprises in real time.
The United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation uses a modern Russian system to monitor the operation of 2,500 machines in 11 enterprises across the country in real time. The introduction of digital monitoring makes it possible to track the production time of gas turbine engine parts and reduces the downtime of the machine park by a third.
UEC has been implementing a project for several years to introduce the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) corporation at its enterprises. It is a digital system that automatically collects, analyzes and transmits data on the operation of equipment at various sites to a single center, promptly reporting a decrease in the efficiency of machines and personnel. The project is being implemented on the basis of the Russian Dispatcher complex.
Today, the leaders in the number of equipment connected to the digital system are ODK-Salyut and ODK-Saturn. In the future, all manufacturing enterprises of the corporation will join the digitalization project.
"Dispatcher has ceased to be just a monitoring system and has become a full-fledged part of the UEC production ecosystem. Its implementation has shown quick and clear results. The project has made the corporation a leader in the development of the industrial Internet of Things in Russia. Practice shows that in different areas, a 10 to 30% reduction in irregular downtime and a corresponding increase in equipment utilization is achieved. This is a huge cost minimization. Today, approximately 2,500 pieces of equipment have already been connected to the system at all major production sites of the UEC. We plan to connect about a thousand more machines from the category of particularly responsible equipment," said Vyacheslav Khristolyubov, Director of Digital Transformation at UEC.
The Dispatcher monitoring system connects the production equipment of several enterprises into a single network. It monitors and reports information on the loading and use of machines at all connected sites. This allows you to quickly respond to emerging situations, manage production capacity and predict equipment utilization, taking into account the tasks of the UEC. In addition, the system helps to maintain the proper technical condition of the equipment, monitor the efficiency of not only the equipment, but also the staff.
In addition to monitoring the condition of the equipment, the UEC has implemented the functionality of opening and closing shift-daily tasks directly from the "Dispatcher" screen installed on each machine. Previously, the operator had to go to the dispatcher or fill out paper logs, but now all actions take place directly at the workplace. Dispatchers and foremen see the status of tasks in real time and can quickly respond to emerging situations.
Work continues to expand the capabilities of the Dispatcher monitoring system. It is planned to include in the functionality the control and analysis of the actual time spent and the transition to adaptive management of production technologies, in which the system will be able to make recommendations on the regulation of equipment parameters, taking into account changes in production conditions.
