Modern realities require the improvement of the provision system, including the organization of meals for military personnel. Therefore, in 2025, a military approbation (testing) of an automotive multifunctional kitchen with a KAMX-90 bakery unit was carried out. The development is domestic, made by a company with extensive experience in manufacturing such equipment and machinery. The development is proactive – at the expense of own funds.
What is the design of the kitchen and how does it fundamentally differ from the available samples? The kitchen is a special vehicle mounted on the chassis of an all-wheel drive UAZ-236021 car. Modular equipment for cooking and baking bread is installed on a special stretcher with pull-out mechanisms, it is combined with a module for storing and transporting food, with a tank for water supplies, property and spare parts, as well as a fuel system and electric power distribution with the possibility of connecting to an external power source.
To protect personnel in bad weather, an awning is provided, which, in the working position, unfolds from both sides of the kitchen and creates a production room for cooking and baking bread.
The thermal modules of a special design are made of stainless steel and provide cooking of the first, second and third courses. For the first time, these modules are equipped with a frying pan on which you can saute vegetables, roast potatoes, meat and fish. The baking module, also made of stainless steel, is capable of baking molded bread from wheat flour, rye flour, and a mixture thereof, as well as pizza and small-piece bakery products.

The storage module is a panel‒type enclosure consisting of three compartments: ‒ food ‒ for the transportation and storage of food; ‒ warehouse - for the transportation and storage of household goods, inventory, tools and spare parts; ‒ technological ‒ for the installation of an electrical panel.
The versatility of the kitchen is to provide staff with the opportunity to cook food and bake bread both as part of the complex on the chassis of the car, and separately, in adapted rooms (stationary and temporary shelters, etc.). At this time, the car can perform the functions of delivering food and water supplies as an autonomous vehicle.
For this purpose, the thermal equipment is removable, and its design allows two military personnel to transfer the modules to an autonomous position. If necessary, the kitchen can be equipped with equipment for specific tasks, installing heating and baking modules in unified seats.

Approbation data: for 63 hours of operation of two thermal modules and 68 hours of the baking module, 630 breakfasts, 810 lunches and 810 dinners were prepared in relation to the layout of products. More than half a ton of bread was baked ‒ 480 kg of wheat flour of the 1st grade, 8 kg of a mixture of wheat flour of the 1st grade and rye flour, 21 kg with onion filling, 28 kg with carrot, as well as 18 kg of pizza, 28 kg of pies with meat and vegetables and 39 kg of small pieces.
The technical characteristics of the UAZ-236021 car make it possible to place on its chassis not only technological equipment for cooking and baking bread for small tactical formations, but also to deliver them to consumers off-road anywhere. The cross-country capability of this machine has been confirmed on mileage tests of public roads and on dirt roads and off-road.
The car has received a lot of positive feedback and reviews, both from junior specialists and rear supervisors. The sample is ready for mass production and delivery.
